Did we make a mistake? We had an inside cabin booked on the Glory on the "Upper" deck and in looking at the brochure it looked to be over a quiet part of the deck below (Promenade Deck) right in the middle of the ship. We changed to a outside balcony cat 8a cabin but its a little more forward and looks to be very close to being over on the Amber Palace on the Promenade deck. Will our room be noisy at night? Should we have stayed mid ship inside cabin?

was the upgrade free? even if it was not, balconies are well worth it in my opinion! bring a bungee cord to keep the door open and all you will here is the soothing sounds of the ocean. it will lul you to sleep. it is very nice to sit out there and watch a sunset/sunrise, have a cup of coffee, smoke a cigar, read a book, etc etc etc. i think you will enjoy having the balcony no matter where it is on the ship.
enjoy

I would think it would be pretty quiet. Most of the shows are over by midnight or shortly thereof. With the exception of the adult comedy, I just looked at my capers from Glory and it does start at 12 in the Amber Palace but is not everynight.

If you are not too close to sail date you can have them change it for you, I changed mine twice last year. Best to you.
