What is partially obstructed view in your cabin?

We have had two partially obstructed view rooms. One on Cunard Caronia and one on Norwegian Sea.
It meant the same thing for both rooms. The lifeboats and their associated riggings hang in front of the large window in the cabin. The rooms are usually larger and on the higher decks but view is definately obstructed.In a lot of cases (which is what happened to us)you are given an upgrade to one of these cabins. You gain in floor space and deck number but lose in the view.
