Yes you are allowed to take curling irons. But you can only plug them in, in the cabin outlet. The bathroom outlet will only be able to supply enough power for an electric razor.

I learn more and more why some say take an extension cord, power strip or at least 3-way adapter to plug in multiple items if needed.
