I am thinking about signing up for the carnival credit card. Can someone tell me if the "sea miles" you earn on the card can be used for or earned on cruises on any of the other lines that carnival owns? or are they just good for carnival

I have a Sea Miles card. I haven't tried to actually use any miles yet. (I'm not sure how many I need) But I did check the web site and there are more than just the Carnival Cruises listed. So, yes, I am sure.

Anyone ever use there miles for a cruise? Did it really save you any money and do you have to go through their travel agent to get it?

Just checked and have 10,996 points. They seem pretty worthless to me. On the old card you could get upgrades and free 3/4 day cruises. All this seems to do is give discounts that you can't use with other offers. I would rather have the other offers IMHO

I was afraid of that. I think I remember some ridiculous amount of points being needed to get even a short cruise. Maybe its time to stop using the card and cut my losses.

Wow! frequent flyer miles do alot better then that. Perhaps I will re-think the "benefits" of having a card verse not having one.

Thanks for the heads up.
