I must give credit for the pics to my oldest daughter, CC, who posted them! On a funny note, we inadvertantly experiencd the "wind tunnel" effect and OH MY GOODNESS! stuff was flying everywhere! One of us opened the cabin door at the same time another one of us opened the balcony door. Looking back on it, it was funny as heck! You should have seen us trying to hurry and close those doors!

I bet looking back it is hilarious as have experienced the same "wind tunnel" effect. Something did fly out and we never did figure out what it was. The Balconies are wonderful in the evenings and while in port, and just watching the water go by.

I had a balcony stateroom on the Victory in April 2006.

If you open the balcony door too quickly, while the air conditioning
is on full blast, you will get a lot of condensation in the room.

Our silly smoke detector kept going off, we had the bridge call the
room every time to make sure all was ok - After the fire on the Star
Princess they were not taking any chances. After 3 false alarms
they sent a technician to pull apart and fix the alarm.

A minor annoyance non the less

Oh boy, PC Guy. Now THAT sounds nerve wracking! Pls note what I said about the DVD player. The humidity made it stop working. (As soon as we got home, it was okay. Guess it had dried out). Plus, I must mention that, like an idiot, I actually tried to watch a movie on it on the balcony before it tanked.

Correction: Before the DVD tanked, not the balcony!

Fivepoints- If the laser lens on those things "fogs" over, the cheaper laser readers can it themselves up. Your luck it started working again.

Now that's scary. I LOVE that little portable DVD player! It's like having a movie theatre with you everywhere you go.
