It is possible that it is still too early. The cruise line finalizes groups starting about two months out. So once they assign the groups, then they would work on upgrades, and Guarantees.

try the kelly method about 6 weeks out or go to Carnival site and go to the site where you order gifts and put your booking # in and shop and sometimes the cabin # will pop up when you go to check out at the shopping cart, you will not actually buy anything it will show your cabin # if it is in the system

Our cruise isn't until December and we already have our room number. You can call Carnival and see what room number you are in. Or you can wait until you get your letter from Carnival and in the left hand corner it will have your room number as well. Our Carnival agent gave us our number.

Army chick,
You would have your room number already because you booked into an assigned cabin. Those that booked into a "Guarantee" won't know until closer to the cruise. There are pros and cons of booking either way. Those who book in guarantee may get upgraded, but it can be the very front of the ship, very back of the ship, less desirable room by noise, etc. they don't know where they will be or what deck. By selecting an assigned room you can choose if you want midship, what deck, etc. Some people are particular about those things so it is in their advantage to do it that way. Others who aren't as particular take the chances with the "guarantee" method.
