Cruising in September?

Has anyone cruised on the Sensation to the Bahamas in the month of September?? Was the weather okay or stormy? We are thinking about booking the 3rd week in Sept. of this year and are a little scared of bad weather. Also, we have cruised on the Elation and LOVED IT, is the Sensation nice too??

Weather in September is anybody's guess. That is the peak of the hurricane season.

I booked my first September cruise for this year, we'll see how it goes...

Thanks! Yeh, everyone is telling us not to go then, but it's just a perfect time for everyone traveling with us!! I'm just nervous about the big storms and the rocky ocean.

I cruise every September and this year will be no exception. That is usually when the lowest pricing of the year is available. I've yet to have a cruise cancelled, have had a couple of ports change over the years but didn't care. I always buy insurance so if I ever do have an issue I don't lose anything.

Don't sweat it, have a great vacation and enjoy the great pricing you get from cruising then. I have had rough seas during that time of year but don't have issues with that. I actually prefer them a little rough, I sleep better when the ship rocks some.

I did it several times for the cheap fares. It got to be one was ahead or behind. I live on the coast and have to watch those buggers. If it wasn't for that I would do it anytime. Great weather when something ain't brewing and low cost prices.

I cruised Sensation to Cozumel in early November a few years ago when Sensation was sailing out of Tampa. It was rough...but most September cruises are pretty good. I think September is one of the BEST times to cruise...prices go down and the kids ared back in school!

YOur not the only one worried over this matter. I booked our first cruise Sept. 8th '07 on the Fantsay out of New Orleans. We are taking our two kids 2-10. I am praying for good weather
I live on the coast about an hour away from New Orleans so i'm use the the whole hurricane drill and it's not fun.

I just hope that our cruise along with everyone else's goes off perfect
I have good hopes. I am hoping for clear skys and calm seas.

My problem is that I have to be home if a storm is approaching the S Florida area. I have to make sure the house is ready and I have to be at the TV station during the storm.

The travel insurance does not cover that.
