passports

Hello everyone
I know I need a passport for cruising to Europe.I have been on 6 other Carnival ships and always took my sail n sign card and passport off the ship with me.I was wondering if I need to take my passport off with me in Europe ports,or a copy of it?Can I just bring a driver licence as a photo to reboard every port in Europe instead of the passport?I am confused because I know on other cruises its okay but not sure about Europe (croatia too).Thanks for any advice.

It may depend on what part of Europe. On our last Mediterranean trip we never took our passports off the ship. On our recent Baltic cruise we were told not to leave the ship without them. I'm sure you will be advised what to do.

I am sailing on Carnival Freedom (Mediterranean).Naples,dubrovnik,venice,messina,ba rcelona,cannes,livorno,civitavecchia are our ports.Thanks

Bring them and do as they instruct you at each port. They will advise you when they are needed to disembark.
