Any info on Ship Conquest

Hello, I am going in Dec on the Conquest out of Galveston. I would appreciate any comments on this ship.

Hi.... I just got back from the Conquest on Sunday the 9th. What would you like to know specifically? I went to Sunset Beach Resort in Jamaica, 7 Mile Beach in GC, and Chakanaab Natl Park in Cozumel for the absolute best snorkeling. I just got my underwater pictures back!!!! There are dolphins, sea lions and a botanical garden for the great price of 12.00, and a 10.00 cab ride for 4. I liked the embarkation at Galvestion a LOT better than last year at New Orleans. The water was ROUGH for the first couple of days and I hadn't felt it like that last year, but it got better. If you get a chance to do "self-assist" for debarkation by all means DO IT. I got off the boat at 8:30 in the morning after doscking at 7:30. My friends who put their luggage out to have Carnival take care of it.. left at 1pm...need I say more. Pack lightly.. there are facilities on board! ???'s just ask....

slucca, this is my first cruise for my 20th anniversary. I'm not familiar with one at all. How was the cruise in general. How was the ship, staff, etc. Any suggestions would be great! Thanks

monsie, you will be very happy with the Conquest. She is great! They keep it very clean in all areas that we saw especially considering the amount of people on board. Everytime we returned to our room it was freshly made,and we'd laugh because the toilet paper was always re-folded into the little point on the end of the roll, LOl!There was always a nice scent after they left. Room service was very prompt everytime we used it, and it's free as well. The waitstaff we had in the Monet dining room were awesome. They made us feel very pampered in a real comfortable atmosphere. The food in the main dining room was good, but not great. They did have good variety tho,interesting things you don't get everyday. There was always plenty of food choices on the buffet which was almost always available. There are little beverage bars set up all over the Lido deck with free coffee,tea, lemonade, and juices. At midnight there is a nice buffet as well, and 24 hr. pizza and ice cream! The 3 pools are not big but big enough. There are 6 hot tubs and they are a nice size. There's a Calypso musician onboard that I just fell in love with.He's really good. He did "Knocking on Heaven's Door" the best I have ever heard it!!The shows at night are ALL do not miss! I could go on and on, but I'll wrap it up for now. Just rest assured you will have the time of your life!!! Ask away if you have any other questions.

If not email me at slucca7157@aol.com and put "conquest" in the subject field so I won't just delete an unknown email. You are going to have a great time and I concur with everything marthathom said. I found the same to be true.
