I have had a "moment" so if you will excuse me, but I went to Carnival.com to book my Spring Break cruise. I noticed the new layout for booking which I like, but my question is what is the difference between Super Saver and Carnival Assigned Room?

I was just posting about the new layout in the "Past Guest cruises" thread. It's not you having a "moment".

The site has been a mess since they started re-doing it. I gave them some slack from criticism with it for awhile. I can't believe they would call a cabin a room to start with.

Anyway,

"Super Saver" is an assigned cabin.

"Carnival Assigned Room" is a Guaranteed Category cabin.

Meaning they will pick the cabin in that Category or possibly higher.

See where it has a symbol like a "t", or cross beside it. Then go down and read the fine print associated with the symbol.

I'm not sure Carnival website shows everything. I'm seeing guarantees under Super Saver also. Also past guest, and seniors, plus a Carnival Endless Summer promotion.

Why not call a local Travel Agent. They aren't anymore, and they can verify all the promotions to give you the best one. Later if you have any questions they can help you, and also assist with shore excursions.

Thanks for your help. I really don't want to go during Spring Break, but I have no choice because of nursing school starting in the fall. I would rather travel in September/October, but hey I will be on a ship(Freedom) and thats all that matters to me! Plus the price wasn't too bad either.

No, it doesn't show everything. And I totally agree about calling a local Agent.

I did not find it confusing at all.

But then I never book from that.

I always call my trusty PVP who watches the prices for me and gets me a reduction in the final price if it goes down before the final payment OR OBC if after the final payment.

Is not the site
is that they keep change it every two weeks
so for me until they fix it for sure
is going to be difficult to understand it
