Can I get some feed back on what works best the wrist band or the ear patch. I know u can pick up the wrist band at the drug store or the doc has to call in the ear patch.....finacially is the wrist band just as good.

The patches contain prescription drugs that tend to dry your eyes and mouth. You are also advised not to consume alcoholic beverages. I have observed unpleasent reactions to the patches. Fortunately I am not susceptable to seasickness but do bring wrist bands with me. They have worked for others. Also bring along ginger snaps and ginger spray (available a health food stores). The worst scenario is an injection from the cruise dr.have A great cruise, I am getting ready for my 44th. since 1988.

Depending on your sensitivity and how you react to things, either night work. I have used the patches, and I love them. I didn't have a problem with them at all.

As Cruisen Jackie mentioned, ginger works great for some people. When I was in a workshop in Maine and had to take ferries to the islands off the coast, I usually was green. One of the crew members finally told me to eat ginger snaps and peaches While they didn't cure me completely, they did tend to alleviate the worst symptoms!

Good luck!

I personally like the patch. I take dramamine for flights and it makes me sleepy. The patch did not. I did notice the dry mouth, but that just made me drink enough water! Also, I had no issue with the patch and alcohol. I would suggest that if you go with any medication based cure that you try it out BEFORE. Its better to have a reaction on shore and locally than at sea!
