Excursion Maya ruins at Tulum

I want to book a tour to the ruins of Tulum, and Carnival says you have 1,5 free time to enjoy the beach out there. Is this really true?

When I was there this was True....but don't plan on snorkling or getting a tan....and a lot depends on how quickly the tour guide gets you around the ruins....You have to walk down to the beach which is a steep downgrade.....I explored the ruins rather than any beach time...it's a very nice place to visit and you will enjoy the tour....Happy Cruising....

The beach is nice, but pretty small. The times we were there the waves were pretty rough. In Oct. But sorry, we didn't go from the cruise.
We stayed at Playa Del Carmen for a week.
Tulum area very beautiful, well at least before the last hurricane. We also went to Coba and climbed to the top of a large pryamid. In Tulum you are not allowed to climb on any of the pryamids.
