Still nothing about the Holiday. I wonder if the ship was chartered for this time? I can't believe they would mention every other ship sailing from a Gulf port but not mention the Holiday.
Dave, It could have been chartered. On the other hand they may have just steered around it and continued as planned. The Holiday isn't due back to Mobile until Thursday, so no changes may have been needed. Is all I can figure.
One more update this morning, impacting Carnival Sensation's 8/31 departure from Port Canaveral: The ship will shorten her call to Nassau (Tue) to 5:00 PM instead of staying overnight until Wednesday 6:00 AM.
This morning's update has news on Carnival Triumph. She will no longer be going to Grand Turk on Friday, and will stay in San Juan until 6:00 pm on Thursday.
Hello. I am leaving Sunday from Galveston on Conquest and I am concerned about Ike and what Carnival is likely to due if he goes across the Carribean sea. Does anyone have any knowledge on this?
Carnival will do what they need to do, just as they did with Gustav. It is too early for them to know about Ike and it's impact on Galveston cruises. All you can do is check back here for updates, or go directly to the Carnival website to check.
