Name Change/transfer

Someone in my group has decided not to go on the cruise. It's 4 days till sailing. Can the ticket be transferred to another person? I know there is a fee but what I want to know is: Is it even possible this close to the trip?

Hey Benny, Yes it can be done. If they used a travel agent get the person not going to give their permission for the change and the new person will have to supply their info as well. If they booked direct have them call when both can be on the line and do the same. They will re-issue Docs and have them at the terminal. Mind you that the person opting not to go is outside the time frame for any refund, so they might as well sell it or give it to a friend. This info is from cruise only experience and don't know about if they have airfare through Carnival. Hopefully Carol or another expert will see your post today and can offer better advice from their knowledge. Best of luck, and have a great cruise.

Benny, this depends on whether all passengers in the cabin are cancelling or if just one person. Carnival takes the stand that if all passengers in the cabin are cancelling then it is considered a cancellation, but if only one person is cancelling then this late in the game you could probably get the name changed for a fee of $50.00.

Contact your agent who set up your group immediately and have them contact Carnival for you.

The person cancelling is in 100% penalties so they will not get any funds returned to them unless they have a covered reason for cancelling and they have travel insurance.
