We recieved notice that our April 2nd cruise on The Valor will also be going to Costa Maya instead of Cozumel. At first this was a real disappointment as Cozumel is our favorite port.(We live in Australia and do not get to cruise as often as we would like.)However , we are looking forward to going to somewhere we have not been before.Has anyone done the dune buggy tour yet? We would love to hear about it !!!
We were on the Inspiration last month and were sent to Costa maya instead of Cozumel also, we were disappointed when we heard that we wouldn't make it to Cozumel since it was our first cruise and we were looking forward to Cozumel, but we absolutely loved Costa Maya. We did the ATV Adventure and had a ball. Went through Mahaual and thought it was great. We would love to go there again.
Count me among those who would love to go to Costa Maya. It was actually on our cruise itinerary in 2001, but we were diverted due to damage to the dock by another ship. I was looking forward to seeing a port before it built up -- much like Playa del Carmen was when we stopped by in the early '90s.
Good thoughts continue to the residents of Cozumel as they continue to rebuild their homes and businesses.
I hope to take a cruise next year that stops at both of these ports.
we will be in costa may on friday we are 3 adults 59, 44, and 34 was wondering about a beach break with snorkling I have been on the web site for costa maya checking out things to do but nothing interested me much, I am the 59 year old the two others are my son and his room mate male, any suggestions, as what we could do that would not be to costly??? Fran
Probably a little late for Cozumel information, but we returned from Liberty Sunday, and we did not visit Mexico. - Pleasantly surprised -- ok, elated -- to go to Montego Bay, Jamaica! For me, it was even better! Happy Sailing.
I am sailing Carnival Ecstacy out of Galveston to Cozumel and the last I have heard is that we will port in Cozumel. We were switched from Carnival Sensation out of New Orleans to out of Galveston to now Ecstacy. It's be a bumppy ride for all.
