My wife and I are both non smokers. I do not want to start a big smoking thread here... but for whatever reason there is a lot less smoke on the Spirit than the Pride. That is another reason we like the Spirit.
Acapulco is great from a distance, as your spectacular photo shows, Gary; and I love sailing into and out of Acapulco Bay--it is one of my favorite cruise experiences. But Acapulco up-close and personal is just not for me.
In Acapulco that starts right at the peir .
I do not like that part of it. I do enjoy the tours that are not "city type". I prefer going to the countryside. Acapulco needs to rehab some of its city. For example the Diving area is not what we saw in the Elvis movies, or maybe it is just 60 years older.
While I've never sailed Carnival this 15 day trip schedule will definitely make me think hard about it instead of going back to Princess's 14 day cruises. It was disappointing when they dropped them a year or so ago & I hope people will vote accordingly. If I'm going to fly to Ca & sail 4 days to and 4 days back I want max time at Hawaii. Does Carnival offer a stock ownership CC similar to Princess?
I like that they are doing 15 days to Hawaii like HAL;
RichC, I haven't checked the HAL schedule for a while and when I just did I found out they have cut their Circle Hawaii cruises to 14 days like Princess--they even cut the same port: Kona.
I feel as you do, Rich: I like all the sea days; but I much prefer five ports once I get to the Islands. I hope Carnival is hugely successful with Spirit's 15 day itinerary.

I myself have been guilty of forgetting that when you own Carnival stock...you own Carnival CORPORATION....not Carnival cruise lines.
SO...you get the same Stockholders OBC perks on any of their sister cruise lines!!!
