The Victory is a great ship with great crew and service. I think you will find Royal Caribbean ships to be more "refined elegance" where Victory smacks you with glitter and color! I was on Victory in 2004 and had a great experience as always.

We LOVE RC and cruised The Navigator in March for our anniversary but we really wanted to sail out of NYC and RC doesn't have a ship there (Except maybe Bermuda at $3000/a pop) so we opted to try Victory. I admit I was a little nervous but I don't seem to be getting any negative reviews.

Asheville NC! I love that town. We have family in Black Mountain. If you need a reliable mechanic, let me know.

swimmersonboard - All my life I was dead set against cruising!
Victory was my first cruise - my first ship!
Now I am an addict. I attribute a lot of that to the Victory. It is a Triumph Class Ship. Very similar to the Conquest Class so it is a large ship!
Whenever I want to see great photos of a ship, I go to www.webshots.com and put the name of the ship in their search engine. Many people put their photo albums on there for you to see...great candid shots of almost every ship.
You don't have to be a member to see all the photos. Try it!

Have a fantastic cruise!

I have been on Victory twice...June of 2006 and again in November. The food is the best...even BETTER than other Carnival ships. The entertainment is outstanding and the boat is immaculate! I had the best time...twice!! It's a GREAT ship!

I had a group on the Victory last October/November after having sailed on the Valor in September.

I found the Victory to be a much nicer ship than the Valor. . . .While the Valor was adequate, the Victory was just wonderful. The crew were all great. The ship was spotless. The food was very good.

Most of all, I loved the decor. While the Valor was, in my opinion, a little too in-your-face brassy and loud, I found the Victory to be more elegant. The color scheme is sea-themed. . .greens, teals, aquas, etc. The brass is more subdued (which I know sounds weird, but it just is not as over-the-top gold).

You'll love it!!

Chris
