We are booked on the Carnival Spirit 10-21 ending 10-28. It is an 8 day cruise to Mexico. We have the printed confirmation for this 8 day cruise. It listed the begining and end dates as above.
The problem is this, we book a flight based on this information. The printed information is incorrect. It ends on the 29th not the 28th. Changing our flights will cost us about $275.00.
Will booked the cruise thru our TA and my wife went on line for the air fare.
We have not talked to our TA yet, just wanted some feed back.
You caught it early enough not to be a problem. Just get with your TA as SOON as possible to give him or her enough time to make the necessary changes in the arrangements. Emphasis on sooner than later...
It would have been bad to show up at the airport expecting to get on a flight that had left 24 hours earlier.
We went to Our TA she looked at her paper work, then picked up the phone without saying a work and make us new flight arrangements home on her $. It was her mistake, she owned up and took care of it, that is way we use a TA on cruises.
Plus she always has us a surprise when we get to our cabin.

Is the fee through the airline or where you booked the flights?
Most airlines charge less than $100. to change the return flights.
Check the airlines rules for your ticket.

I had air through Travelocity a couple years ago and after my experience with them, I'll never book anything through them again. I wanted to change my departure time for the flight home after a cruise. I spent 40 minutes on hold until I was finally connected with "Steve" who suspiciously sounded like he was Indian. He quoted an outrageous fee (I think it was around $750) and then he gave me his sage advice as a travel expert: "but just go to the airport on the day of your flight and have them move your reservation to a later plane. It will only cost you $25 per person." Obviously this moron was clueless on the realities of MIA on a Saturday afternoon. I knew the fee was $50 per person to rebook (at that time), but I had foolishly wanted to go through Travelocity to change it instead of calling Delta directly. But seeing I was going no place with Travelocity's "customer service" I hung up on him and called Delta directly. They moved it for me and charged me $50 per person.
I now deal directly with the airlines for all bookings. The price is either the same or cheaper anyway.

gdjoslin, When counting a cruise length the first and last day are counted, so what you have is a 9 day cruise. Looking at the Itineary at carnival.com for the Spirit it lists 9 days. I'm real glad you were able to get it corrected.
