I urge you to utilize the "Find" tab at the top of the forum. This will allow you to input key words to aid in your search. There is a wealth of archived information that will answer most any of your questions pertaining to alcohol policies and various related topics. Happy searching and as these topics can quickly become trite and subversive, the moderators/ administrators will close it down post haste.
You cannot bring your own distilled liquor at the embarkation port. You can bring your own wine bottles but they will hold them for you until you request a bottle at dinner time. Plus they'll charge you a corkage fee for each bottle. Any liquor bought in a port city will be held for you upon returning to the ship and delivered to you on the last night of the cruise along with any bottles purchased on board.

Just a clarification, to my knowledge they don't confiscate any wine brought on within the legal per person allowable quantity. They will keep your wine if requested in the dining room for you.
Unless this is something really new, and they haven't updated their FAQ section.
