I was just browsing Carnival today and noticed the price of my already booked and paid-in-full cruise has dropped. I read on past posts here that people have received an on-board credit in this instance. So, do I call my PVP today and ask or wait a few days to see if the price continues to drop? I don't want to appear "cheap" or "bothersome" but want the best bang for the buck!
Thanks!
I always keep a check on mine too. Year before last we had one adjustment, then an upgrade, and still ended up with an OBC. Last year our price almost doubled! I am a big believer in booking early. It is a win-win situation.
I am so thankful for this site that provides so much helpful information. This site is what helped me learn to book early and to keep checking the price as you near your sail date. Thanks to everyone! Experience counts!
Hi Luv2Cruise.
We are booked on Ecstacy out of Galveston for April 28, 2008. We booked about 10 months in advance, and got a free 2 deck upgrade then. But now, with the new price drop, it is even that much sweeter! Book early! It is indeed a win-win situation. Good luck and watch the booking price weekly (or daily).
We have been booking many months early on all our cruises over the past 50 years-We have saved ourselves the costs of many voyages as a result-needless to say we have taken additional cruises with the money saved!
I am still giggling over the price drop and the OBC I received. I told a friend who was thinking of cruising with her 2 sisters and she called my PVP and got a sweet deal also. Actually, better than mine because her sister works for Northwest Airlines, and those people get some excellent discounts. Maybe my PVP will put that referral in his notes! Referrals always work and I am glad my friend gets to cruise the Ecstacy. We are ecstatic! (lol)
