Just wanted to get a general consensus from everyone - I know Carnival claims that the age demographic is pretty even on their ships.
But when I cruised, (a few yrs ago in late May), the ship seemed to be mostly comprised of people 50 and over - lots of 25th anniversaries, and seniors. I don't remember there being a whole lot of families either. What was your experience?

We went the first week of June on the Paradise with our 3 girls (11, 9, 7). There were quite a few kids on the boat. The age demographic was pretty varied; there wasn't a large proportion of any particular age group.
Thanks for the input! I don't have kids - but
I'm not afraid of them! I'll be on that slide
right along with them!! I'm cruising in july and can't wait!
I just returned from victory cruise took my grandaughter 12 years old we had a BLAST also took my older children 38 & 33 they had a blast too...... there was 800 youngsters on this cruise so the camp carnival director said, they had to bring in more help for camp carnival the ship was pretty large so if there were that many children and young adults they were pretty well on their best behavior. ship and cruise Get a A+ from all 4 of us
We went on back to back Victory cruise this past January. Even though we were on the same ship it was like to totally different cruises. Our first week the vast majority of the people were in the 20 to 30 age range. The colleges were still out. Our second week the majority of the people were in the 40 to 50 age range. The first week also had many more kids.
In other words I would say it depends on when you cruise what age range you may find on a Carnival cruise.
We would guess that during summer vacation there would be a lot more families with children on board then at other times. We have taken a couple Carnival cruises in Sept and there were not many kids at all. Our last Carnival cruise was for New Years 2002 and there were many kids/teenagers aboard.
