We're on the Pride on 2/18 and we've been told we have a Cat 7 outside cabin (whatever that means) which is supposed to be a balcony cabin "with partial obstruction on the view"....
Anyone know what that means?
I was sort hoping they meant some girl in a bikini was standing in the way....but I'm guessing it might mean one of those lifeboats is hanging in front of our balcony?
When you look down from your balcony you may see the top of the lifeboats, or the lifeboat davits may be blocking the sides, but you should be able to look straight out.
Better make sure it is a balcony cabin and not a "French Door" balcony cabin. They put those behind the lifeboats and they have balcony doors that you can open but there is no balcony.. and you may be looking at a lifeboat.

Jim Is correct about the life boat obstruction. We have had 3 cabins on Carival that were this way. You still can see most everything you want to see. I don't mind it but if you want full view you wouldn't like it.
Here is a link to my webshots, which has photo's of the obstucted view cabin. The ship is the Spirit, not the Pride, but they are the same. Ours was a cat 7 too.
