Didn't know about no more ticket books. Husband always liked to have them. Where do I find wayhs of making luggage tags more secure. I was thinking laminating them. Last time we had them all ready and then received some in the mail - but I guess that won't happen this time.???
grandmag, Unfortunately that won't be happening this time. I'll probably do the laminating thing as well. They will also have luggage tags available from the porters at the pier in addition.

Any time you want to find something on the forum, just click on the "Find" tab on the blue bar above and enter the subject.

I wanted to follow up with a helpful FAQ link from Carnival.com regarding this change and the Electronic Documents in general. Look here.

For those of us that have always received the mailed Documents directly from Carnival or our Travel Agent, this will be something new for us. I thought for the last few years I was one of only a few that preferred the mailed Document ticket book. Apparently, I was wrong about that.

Dwayne - I take the printed out page of the luggage tags and "laminate" them on both sides with clear packaging tape - them I cut them out and either tape them or staple them over my baggage handles.

They stand up very well in all types of weather and rough handling!

Bon Voyage,

I got an automated call from Carnival yesterday reminding me that there would be no more mailed docs after August 25th.

I to will miss the documents in the mail. I have saved all our tickets booklets also. It's a sign of the times.

Thanks Billy! That's going to be the plan for me too. I'm driving down so they should be fine using this method. What a crock of an inconvenience though. They shouldn't have spoiled me with the perfect pre-printed peel n' stick ones in the ticket book.

Yes, it seems to be. I'll give Carnival credit though from the standpoint of them being one of, if not the last hold out of the cruise lines doing this.
