I was wondering what does the "prepaid gratuities" cover. Who should I tip?

you can alway tip your room steward a little extra if you want.we give him a little extra. he is included in the pre pay. the bartender where you hang out the most, as some of them can be quite accomadating when you sit at thier bar and drink, also the Matri' de is not included in your pre paid he makes that known at one of the dinner nites and thats only if you want to we usually do give him something if we eat in the dining room everynite and also if he helped get our table changed for some reason or another, room service also you can tip if you want, the tips for all the waiters and waitresses is suppose to be included in the drink prices and your prepaid

You will receive a Carnival Capers in your room everyday. That will tell you alot of information about everything happening on the ship, dining hours, what time shops open etc. On the second to the last night of the cruise the Capers will have something about the prepaid gratuities explaining who it goes to and how much. $3.50 a day to Cabin Steward, $3.50 a day Waiter,$2.00 Asst Waiter, $1.00 for the waiters in the buffet area. A 15% gratuity is automatically added to any bar drink. If you particularly enjoyed the service of anyone, additional gratuities are always welcome.

Covers everything. You do not have to tip at all beyond the prepaid. We did tip our dining room waiter at the end of the cruise because we felt he deserved a little extra, but after you pay the prepaid it is all at your dicression.

We have taken 4 cruises in the past 3 years and going on the triumph on 9/9/2006. I have found tipping the waiters/waitresses at poolside is probably the most important ones to tip, if you plan on spending alot of time there. We needed more chairs on severel occasions and the waiter stopped serving other people to help us. All it cost us is $10.00. When you order your first round of drinks add it to the tab that you sign. Do not do it the first day out it is too crazy for them to remember. that money is well spent.
