Just curious ...hear about PVP's etc, Personal Vacation Planner? Well I have someone I use for my cruises, what I am wondering is, if I am using the right person or should I change. Can anyone give me an example of what a good price is, for example leaving Mar 13th for a 3 day on the Imagination for an inside with 2 people and a cat 11, 2 adults, all past guests.
much appreciated.

Your travel agent will be able to get the same price a PVP will offer. Normally, the travel agents give you some gifts as well. If you check Carnival's site, you'll find the going rates. If your travel agent is good, they'll be sure your price is the best available.

Thanks, basically we were quoted a price of $296.46 (taxes incl) pp for an inside & $591.00 for a cat 11. We are getting a few onboard credits.... Can anyone get a better price or is this pretty much the going rate?

Unless you find an agent who has group space available the prices you have are the going rate. I don't know for sure, but given that is prime spring break cruising time I'd think any unsold group space has had to be released back to Carnival.

I'd just take what you were offered before it goes up, which is quite possible. I'd personally not want to waste money on a suite for a 3 night cruise. The difference in price will pay for your onboard charges.

Thanks Dave,
I did book and I have noticed that the price has gone up so I'm glad I booked when I did.
I agree with the suite but I know I will be glad to have it....been in an OV and I do miss that fresh air at night and the sound of the Ocean. Also last Spring break was a little crazy with the kids, it was so nice to go up to the balcony and have a few hours of quiet time not to mention breakfast on your private balcony.... just doesn't get much better than that.

Value is how a person perceives it's worth to them. It sounds like you enjoy balconies and they provide warm fuzzies and enhance your cruising experience. Therefore; they are worth it. Have a great cruise and enjoy.

You are so right Cruise Fanatic. A balcony, whether we are on a cruise for 1 or 14 days, it is our bonus for all the hard work we do throughout the year to get us standing on our cozy little balcony looking out to nowhere, enjoying that "stress free" peace of mind and to us it is so worth the extra $$. Trust me when I am at that place, don't think I have ever said gee honey really wish we had of booked an OV.
Not to mention we have 5 girls (all in their teens) this will be our escape!!!
Thanks and you enjoy your "Superbowl Cruise" we did it one year on the Grand Princess, and what a party it was.

I sense CF having a little fun here at my expense. I had a Cat. 12 suite for our 4-night staff member cruise last summer. So the question begs - well, Dave, why is a suite okay for a 4-night but not a 3-night? I surrender.
