Back from the Glory!

We got back yesterday from the Glory.. Had a great time on the ship like usual.. Had some bad comedians on there though.. 1st time we have evey walked out on them on Carnival.. Loved the live band where guest could aing with,but it only was for an hour a show..Mahogony bay is AWESOME! We just loved it.. Loved the turtles in Grand Caymen too.. Seemed there were alot of people not happy with Belize.. Alot of comments i overheard.. Oh and another thing.we are platnum and are Carmival gift on this cruise was 8 soft drink coupons? Before we got carnival logo items. We were hopeing for that again.but 8 coke's LOL! that was funny.. All in all we had a great time. and the anytime dinning is Great! do it if you can..

Another wonderful report about Mahogany Bay. Sorry to hear about the comedian. What was the issue?

The Platinum gifts are going to be changed from the picture frames. First I've heard of 8 soft drink coupons instead. I hope they were a last minute substitute and not the official gift. I asked John to suggest Polo shirts or Robes for us when he was asking for suggestions.

I have to be honest, I would not be excited to get an 8 drink soda card for my gift, I hope this is only for a short time.

Welcome back, timc Sounds like all in all it was a good time. What were the negative comments about Belize? I must admit I've only done snorkeling trips there, and absolutely loved them. I was going to take the tender into town on the last cruise, but they had to stop tender service due to the weather. By the time they started up again, it was too late.

Sorry to hear about the comedian and the 8 soft drinks. I'd be bummed because I don't drink sodas, oh well, maybe I could regift them
I've still got a ways to go for the top honors, though. I'm working on Elite on Princess, too.

Yes the 8 soda drink coupon was a shock,what a total of $12.00? Also the weather was really rough in Grand Cayman that we had to be tendered from a diffrent part of the Island. Nevr seen this place before.I think it was on the south side of the Island a good 30min ride to George Town. People were talking how there is little to do in Belize and they seemed unsecure there if they went beyond the fenced compound shopping area.. I think they should give you a credit for the steak housE instrad of 8 soft drinks...

Tim, I really don't think the soda coupons are the official gift. John just had the meeting last Wednesday. They could have ran out of frames or something. If you want a picture frame, let me know, I'm sure I have one or two extras.

Yes, many people suggested having a free visit to the Steakhouse! That would work for me! It will be interesting to see what the new gift is. Now watch it be soda coupons and I end up eating crow instead of a Porterhouse.

I would be very surprised if they gave something like a free steakhouse visit. Especially considering the high number of Platinum members. The 8 sodas really isn't a bad gift when you consider the value of it. At $2.00 a coke plus gratuity you're looking at about $18.40 saved out of your pocket. Not everyone may appreciate the soda coupons, but not everyone will appreciate a picture frame or base ball cap either. You're not going to satisfy everyone.
