ID for cruise passengers

Going on Conquest 12-9-07. Most will use photo ID and certified birth certificate. Should a woman who is or has been married also bring marriage license to show why name different. We've heard yes and then no.

Hello retired, If they are 21 and above it is not required to bring a marriage license. Some people bring them to expedite the check in process.

It is a very common thing for Birth Certificates not to match. No worries

retired, I agree with IslandCruz in that there is no such requirement for boarding the ship (see Carnival's travel documentation page). Still, it couldn't hurt to bring a copy of the marriage licence, in case it is needed off-ship for any reason (a rare emergency, for instance).

Then again, I tend to be overcautious. My son has a passport, yet I still bring his birth certificate to prove he's mine.

I would get a passport as soon as you can...the backlog seems to be over....You will need one soon or later anyway....Happy Cruising...

Thanks for the help. We got our cabin number today and its on the veranda deck.There's actually 10 cabins and a group for wedding and cruise. Only one of us been on a cruise so we're all looking forward to this great adventure.
