Thanks again everyone. I actually was looking at prices for fall online, it's just a matter of whether they will stay where they are now come July or August when I may book. Like I said, there's a personal matter dealing with my grandmother which is going to determine if I can even take this cruise. Basically, she flies cross country to visit us once a year for a few months, but she's now at the point where she won't fly alone, so one of my family members has to fly out and bring her back here, and when she's ready to go home, one of us has to fly her back home. Last year my parents were out there to bring her back here, and I used my vacation last year to fly back with her and spend a few days with her.

That was a neat and thorough video. Thanks for sharing it. It would have been slightly better if she would have shown the "crucial" upper berth pulled down. It is still a great representation for a single cruiser in a 1A.
Wish I could chime in. We were booked in 1A on our cruise over the weekend, and Carnival called on the day before our cruise and offered us a 5A (porthole) stateroom for my wife and I. We took it.
King bed versus Bunk beds --- no brainer. Cruise was a little rough one night, but overall we had a great time.
Thanks to whoever posted that video. That seems decent for a single cruiser, and as I found out on my last cruise, I was hardly ever in my stateroom except to sleep, shower, or change, since there's so much to do.
