We are booked in a guaranteed 6B on the Victory and our PVP said that he was putting us on the upgrade list. We are 54 days away and still don't know what room and we don't have our docs yet. Also, I was under the impression that our quad room would have the twins that convert to a king and a double convertible sofa, but now I'm wondering if the sofa is a twin and we will have to ask for a rollaway. Has anyone had a quad room before in 6B? Help. I'm definitely confused.

The Victory is the sister ship to the Carnival Triumph and we just got off her this past Sunday. The catagory 6B's have 2 twins that convert to a king size bed and also a sofa with either a bed that pulls out from under the sofa and a bed that drops from the ceiling or possibly both. The cabin we had would have slept 5 confortably, it had the drop down bed from the ceiling (which our daughter chose to sleep on and we told the stewardess) it also had the sofa which would have slept one and a bed that pulled out from under the sofa and would go back under the sofa during the day. You will have plenty of room. By the way, we bought a catagory 6A guarantee and were upgraded to a 6E on deck 11 spa deck. Wonderful cabin with the full wall tinted window. Good luck on your upgrade, but even if you dont get one your cabin will have plenty of space.

Cruisefuse, sometimes cabins don't get assigned to those on a guarantee until 1-3 weeks before the cruise. With 54 days to go, it's not yet time to panic. A guarantee means that you're paying the 6B price, and will be in a 6B or better, so I hope you are upgraded to a higher category.

Sandy

PS: What is a PVP?

PVP = personal vacation planner at Carnival. Fancy talk for the person that answers the phone when you call wanting info and/or to book your cruise. Ours is actually wonderful and feels more like a friend, but I don't want to bother him with questions that I know regular cruisers can answer.

Posted this question yesterday and today I found our cabin assignment on Carnival's site. Upgraded to a 6E on the spa deck! Yes!

CruiseFuse,

Where did you find the cabin assignment on Carnival's web site? I have been there and can't seem to find such info. We have booked a "guaranteed" cabin leaving in just over 30 days (Nov. 27) on the Conquest and it would be nice to know where we will be.

Thanks,
Robert

Once you are logged in to Carnival's site and your information is showing (how many days to departure), click on Modify Booking. When you do that and scroll down, you should see either your room assignment or gty. Let me know if it works for you. I hope it does because it was a great feeling to see the room finally listed.

Well, I logged on to the page you talk about and don't see any "modify booking" button. Since I didn't book directly with Carnival the info may be different?? I wouldn't think so but who knows??

In the past I have called Carnival a few days before departure. Sometime they could provide the cabin number and other times they told me it wouldn't be available until I got to the pier. Guess I'll just have to wait.

Thanks for your help, though.

Cruisefare thats where we were on the Triumph...great cabin...floor to ceiling windows and they are tinted so you can look out and no one will see you inside..the cabins up there will sleep up to 5 people...lots of space..in fact as we were looking at some of the other cabins on the some of the lower decks with balconies and our cabin was so much bigger than those. Congratulations on your great upgrade.
