At what moment do you know your cruise has begun? Is it when you leave home, arrive at the
terminal, head to the Lido deck for a drink and some lunch...
Mine is the first sight of the funnel...I still get just as excited as I did on my first cruise!
my husband doesnt cruise but he he says my cruise starts when i tell him i dont need any clothes this cruise buy i am just going to go check the clothes out at the stores.and then come home with bunches
for me, when i load my luggage in the car and head to the airport.
For me the excitement begins as soon as i make the reservations, because i get to day dreaming about the moment i arrive. But i get extra excited when i arrive at the port and sea the ship then i know im actually about to go on a cruise.
I agree with CruiseMstr also, I do get very excited when I know I have a Cabin number and I know it is mine. I will admit I hate and I do mean hate to Fly to get to the ship, so for example going to the White Cliffs of Dover to get on the ship and the Bus Driver tells us to watch to our left for the White Cliffs and look for our Ship, I about cry when I see the ship now I know I am almost on board !!
The minute my wife says "BOOK IT"..just got back from Alaska on the Spirit and when I got home, my papers where there for my January cruise...Happy Sailing.....
I get antsy as soon as I make the booking (which I did yesterday for cruise #8). But I get really worked up as soon as I see the ship. Funnel, prow, stern whatever part I can manage to steal a glimpse of. It's an added bonus to see the ship from the hotel room.
