Does anyone have one and is it useful?? I looked on the seamiles website and it said that the miles can be redeemed for resort stays, but i could not find out which resorts??? When Carnival was pitching the program it sounded like a good idea, but i really want to hear from some people that have one!!!!

I have one but I have not used any points for a cruise yet. I signed up in November 2005 so I don't have a lot of points yet.

On the last cruise they were running a special so I got 4 points for every dollar I spent on the ship.

Yup, I have one also. It seemed like a good deal at the time, but like the others, have not racked up very many seamiles yet. At least not enough to get a cruise out of it. When I signed up, it was stated that I would get miles for my initial balance transfers.. I never did. So, if you are thinking you can rack up a bunch of miles that way, don't bother. You do get double miles when you use it to book a cruise or while on a cruise, so if you get one and use it to purchase cruises with you can do better towards the miles. (Which is what I have been doing)

I would still like to hear from someone who has actually used the miles for travel. So far no one has. I hope this isn't like the vacation club where you really can't use them on a cruise you would want to go on...

Jim

Spyder-

Not sure about the double miles only on Carnival. I did look at using the cruise points and you could use them for many different cruise lines, but they may have been all CCL owned lines (RCCL, Princess etc..) I don't really remember. I did book a NCL cruise using the crad, let me go back and look at my statement and I will find out.

my parents have one and they are getting rid of it. last year they got a thousand dollars off there cruise because they had used their card alot. this year they only got one hundred dollars off because they said because they were getting the past guest rate you could either get that rate and get 100 off or just use your card and get about 200 off.
I would not recommend the card to anyone who is thinking aobut getting it. I got one last year while on the cruise because it used to be a great deal but i am getting rid of mine as well.
hope this helped.

Charley,

Your parents got $1000 off a cruise with the card? If so I would think that is a pretty good deal. I know that I would probably never have enough miles to get that much off, but if I am going to use a credit card anyway I minus well get something. I just asking because I have had a discover card for about 9 years. They promote cashback bonus. I have put 2 cruises on the card and many other things and I like I've got about $80.00 worth of cash back bonus.

they did get $1000 off last year because they had spent so much but they also spent about the same or even more this year and only got $100 off their cruise. carnival has changed the way they are doing the card
