If they have a cabin available, yes.

yes only problem sometimes is as or more expensive than booking it directly.
I cannot tell you this is always true I can only tell by my experience:

On one one of my cruises I tried to upgrade from a balcony and the only option available was one suite and it was almost $1000 more. My guess it will depend on what cabin are left at the embarking day...but maybe I am wrong.

If not sold out, I would imagine yes. However, according to their website they say no because they always sail full. Look here.

I'm sure it does happen sometimes, just not often.

WE are going out on the Glory on Aug 1/09 and upgraded our cabin this week with our PPP. We went from an oceanview up to a extended balcony on the port side. The difference being $ 245.00 US. So I would suggest you check out things with a PPP.

Yesterday while looking on the Carnival website, I noticed our booked cruise was offering a free upgrade from class 8C to class 8F and that the price had went down. To my delight and suprise when I called they gave me the upgrade and reduced our overall price. This will be only our second cruise (carnival Dream 10/03/09) but they have impressed me so far.

Hi KJP79, and Welcome to Cruise-Chat!

Yes, they have the Fun4All promotion going on right now. They seem to be very flexible with adjusting current bookings. Those Rome sailings are an incredible bargain. Congrats, on booking the second run of the Dream.

We have a topic going about the Dream located here, feel free to jump in. We have been having a little fun there lately.

Welcome aboard,

Dwayne
