Last year we sailed the Triumph and they allowed 5 in our inside cabin they would just bring in a bed for our grandson at night, what other carnival ship do they allow 5? Or do you actually have to call carnival to book and not use the internet sites?

Any agent can do this too. Even on ships which allow 5 per cabin there is a limit as to the number of cabins doing so per cruise. I think that is a Coast Guard regulation too.
I was wondering why a Fantasy Class ship would allow 5 to a room or a suite while newer ones would not.
When I went to Alaska on the Norwegian Star (2001 build) the only way we could have a party of 5 would be to book 2 rooms
or go with a $15,000 garden vila suite.
I thought if the Fantasy Class Cat 12 suite can hold 5, why not an equivalent suite on the Star?
I think the new Carnival Dream has cabins that hold five people, and have two bathrooms.
Yes, the Deluxe Ocean View cabins on the Dream are set up for quint occupancy. No roll aways though, and twin/king beds do not convert to a king size bed with quint occupancy.
It must have something to do with the square footage of the cabin (230) and the fact a roll away is not involved.
Yup we booked one of these Deluxe Ocean Views for our Dream cruise. When you have 2 teen girls, the second bathroom is a must.... BUT ours does not sleep 5, so not all the DOVs are quints. So if you book a DOV, and need it for 5, be sure to specify that....
