I thought the video was great, We had an experience with Carnival in 1998 when Hurricane Mitch was passing through, we were caught in the middle of it and Carnival played OVER and OVER again, THE TITANIC !! Yes, not kidding! The outdoor part of the ship was closed, people were sick, our kids could not eat and they played the Titanic! We missed Cozumel our port and Carnival gave us a $20 ship credit for our missed port! Then after we hung out and waited for the hurricane to pass, the weather turned cold and people were on deck in the sun under blankets! It was freezing, in the middle of the Carribean. I hope Carnival makes it up to you, they were ticked we called to complain and got noting!
With all this said and done, Are you all willing to do Carnival again or have you done Carnival again??? I'm curious due to I am a first time cruiser with Carnival and I don't want to be dissapointed. HELPPPPPPP
Nita,
Dont worry, Carnival is great..we have cruised on Carnival 6 times..yes there are problems at times, but you will find something wrong on every ship and every line you cruise on. Its all what you make of it. Ports are missed at times due to weather conditions or tendering conditions. I thought the video was "cute" and my personal opinion, this man spent a lot of time putting this video together..more for the "shock" value. I hope he gets something for his troubles, but Carnival automatically gives a 10% discount off your next cruise if you have any complaints.
Your vacation cruise is what you make of it. Just keep in mind that all the people that work on these ships are human and people can make mistakes, or get up on the wrong side of the bed, or just plain have a bad day. In other words, your vacation is what you make of it. If you read or listen to every bad review and go on your cruise looking for something wrong, you will find it. You can read a review from 2 differnt people on the same ship and sailing date and get completely different opinions. One person will say it was the worse they had ever experienced and the other will state it was the best. Put your worries aside and plan on having the best time of your life!
there's no reason to panic. Just remember that Carnival carries tens of thousands of passengers per week. Among those, of course there are some who didn't enjoy themselves. Some for good reason, some for not so good reason.
But a single complaint really shouldn't worry you at all.
Nita- worry not! Most of those complaints were related to the hurricanes- what can Bob Dickinson do about that?
I cruised the Elation last August- got back into Galveston a few days before Katrina. I had a great cruise. I would cruise Carnival again in a heartbeat. I hated Progreso but still had an awesome, awesome time. You will too.
Great video!!! very clever. I cant believe they showed Titanic! That's like showing the Airport movies during your flight! Fortunately, not everyone's cruise experience will be or has been like this. Just keep an open mind and your expectations low.
