I will be going on my first cruise in April and i was wondering if there is a charge for eating in the specialty restaurants like the Steakhouse and such? I am going on the Carnival Sensation and I don't know what they have and what they don't, just wondering which places, if any, charge extra for eating there?

Carnival is/was testing out a plan offering premium steaks and lobster for $18 in the main dining rooms of the Carnival Paradise, Carnival Triumph and Carnival Inspiration. I don't know if they plan to roll this out to the other ships.

The Sensation has no steakhouse restaurant. Except for specialty desserts, milk shakes, specialty coffees, all at the Coffee Bar, all other food is included in your cruise price. That is of course unless Carnival goes ahead with the $18 deal on the Sensation.

Hi Dave,

I may give the Allure a try in Jan or Feb...I had such a Great time on the Oasis that I want to see some of the changes they made on the Allure...If I don't make, I'm sure you will give us a great rundown on the changes....Hot Dog Stand, etc....

It's snowing here and I'm ready to book something.....

I just returned from the Allure 2nt inaugural and the Hot Dog Stand is fabulous. I had a German Bratwurst with sauerkraut and grilled onions. They have about seven different dogs/sausages to choose from. I'll send Dave a picture of the menu board and see if he can post it.
