I just got my e-docs. Had to use Internet Explorer. Tried three or four times on Firefox and it did not work. First time on IE it worked perfectly. Not quite as much as the tickets in the mail, but if it saves them a few bucks to spend on my food, that's okay with me.

Do you really think they put that money somewhere other than their pocket?

We were one of the first to have E docs for Carnival back in March of this year (CCL started with the foreign bookings) The little old lady in Galveston looked at us as if we had sprouted something and kept asking for our little blue booklets.... getting rather flustered when I said we were not issued such!!! Her lady collegue must have picked up on it as she poped her head over and said "oh honey those are those new things they have said will be coming....." Right and we are your test rats!

Let me try to clear some of the confusion up.

If one books through CCL it is now an OPTION to recieve the E-Docs. It is not automatic and one has to request them at booking or online.

Once the E-Docs are requested, it will cancel out the mailing of the paper Docs.

Carnival has not gone to strictly E-Docs at this time.

Example: I booked through CCL and did not agree to E-Docs, or go on the site and enter the info to print them. I will get Paper Docs in the mail.

Hope this helps and does not add to the confusion.

Now I'm confused. So if you want e-docs you have to ask for them but if you want paper docs in the mail you have to not ask for them?

Actually, I thought it was the other way around now. That you automatically are issued e-docs, and you have to ask for paper docs. At least that's what it said in the emailed information packet I received from Carnival. Information from my travel agent reads as follows:

"Carnival Cruise lines is going to E-tickets! You will not receive paper tickets for your cruise."

Of course that wouldn't be you Sprit because you are sitting at a computer, right? Just kidding, I know what you mean. For the people who can't see cruise chat, who do they ask?
