What can I say? There is something invigorating in rising before dawn and wandering the ship, getting some of that sea air in me, and of course waiting for the first trays of pastries to be put out in the buffet area. The crew no doubt thinks I am a crackpot as I wander the decks sipping coffee and observing their activities. Actually I am waiting for sunrise.

I'm right there with you Dave. I know the looks you get from the crew. They probably say to themselves, "wouldn't catch me up at this time on my vacation."

Dave, How long a drive to Mobile for you? You going Friday or an early tripper on Saturday?

I hope you take your digital camera and get some uncommon pictures. Like your plate at the breakfast buffet. I know you just get a pastry to hold you over until you get something to eat in the dining room, right?

Mobile is about 6 hours for us, but I still insist on driving down on Friday. Actually we will stay overnight in Montgomery and make the 2 hour trek to the port Saturday morning.

Yes, as a man of girth I can assure you that the danish and coffee is merely a prelude to a full breakfast!

I've never considered food photos, but I'll do them on this cruise. Actually they would be quite helpful in showing new cruisers what the food at least looks like.

Dave...I cannot believe how much the base prices for this Holiday cruise have gone up! Approx $300 pp! This good deal is getting better every minute!
