Carnival HOLIDAY - Roll Call & Countdown - 3/17-22

This time next Saturday, the Holiday will be on her way into the gulf and I am all too ready for this much needed break! Dave, looking forward to meeting you onboard also! Anyone else going?

I am also looking forward to shaking hands and clinking glasses! Hard to believe the time has gone by so quickly. Just another week!

I hope our weather is good. A cold front will be moving through next Friday, so it may be cooler than desired in Mobile. We are driving down on Friday afternoon and staying overnight in Montgomery. We'll make the 2 hour jump to the pier on Saturday morning.

Glasses or cans will definitely be clinking this time next Saturday!!! We plan to leave early Saturday morning and get to the pier between 12 and 1. Still trying to decide whether to even take a suit/tie for the formal night...suggestions?

They're predicting a high of 67, which will probably feel like 40 in the open bay! Worst case scenario will be hitting the casino earlier than usual!

I am going with bare minimum for formal night - a sport coat and tie with whatever shirt and dockers looks good with the coat.

I just looked at the weather forecast for Cozumel. 60% chance of rain and a high of 84 on Tuesday. Monday in Costa Maya looks like the best day. Mobile still shows upper 60's and sunny on Saturday. Oh well! Indeed, I may be spending more time inside the ship than I normally do.

Our last Carnival cruise was on......the Holiday! This was in June 2005. This will be our third time on the old lady of the Carnival fleet.

We will be taking the Holiday Sept. 10th. This will be our first cruiser and I want to know about everything!!
