Sailed on the Triumph on the 13th of October.
I can say this was one of our better cruises.
We had a great time. Weather was perfect, food was good. Paris dining room food was great as well as the service. The buffet food was good and they have a nice steak sandwich out at the deck grill. Everyone, room stewards, shop people, entertainment, waiters all were fantastic. Friendly. Half Moon Cay and Grand Turk, although not great for shopping but fantastic for swimming or snorkeling. We did the
snorkel on St.John Trunk Bay and it was beautiful.
All in all, we would do the same cruise again.
It was great.

Nice report, i'm glad you had a nice cruise.I think carnival has improved greatly in the last few years. There service has really improved and the food quality and availability is really up there now.I think Carnival is the best bang for the buck right now.We were loyal Celebrity cruisers and have dropped them. And gone to carnival.. Tom
Thanks for the review SherryG. I am leaving in a little over a month on the same cruise. We were planning on doing the same in St. Thomas go over to St. John. We were in St. Thomas last September ofr 06.
Sherry, I'm so glad you had a good cruise. We took the Triumph a couple years ago, and were really pleased, especially after reading all the BAD things about Carnival, but we found that NOT to be true.
I have made reservations for the Liberty next March, and each day it is getting me closer.
One week from now I will cruise on the Carnival Triumph.
I am happy to read about your description of it. I am glad I spent some money on a new mask and snorkel after reading that you think the snorkeling was great. The Truimph will go to the same places: Half Moon Cay, St. Thomas, San Juan and Grand Turk. I am really looking forward to the cruise.
By the way, does the Triumph have the five star "Supper Club" restaurant like other Carnival ships? If so, did you ever eat there during the cruise?
Hello Frase - the Destiny Class - Destiny, Triumph and Victory do not have a "Supper Club". It is only available on the Conquest and Spirit Class ships. I was on both the Victory and Triumph and alas - no supper clubs or shushi bars. I did the same itinerary on the Triumph that you will be doing - I really enjoyed it. I took a cab to Koki In St Thomas beach on the other side of the Island and did some snorkeling there!
But your other question about the supper club (If you are ever on a ship that has one) - It is reservations only and has an extra surcharge. You would only eat at your assigned seating in the main dining room, but you are free to "Skip it" and go to the Lido Restaurant or the Supper Club if you wish.
