My wife and I will be sailing on teh Victory out of San Jaun for our 20th Anniversary May 17th. Would love to hear the thoughts of those who have done this cruise, and has anyone taken that Tallship Excurision on the Big Unicorn in St Lucia? I haven't seen a review and was wondering if it is worth it.

If it's the pirate ship that they used for part of the filming of Pirate's of the Caribbean, then yes, the price is worth it. They sail up to Pigeon Island, give you enough time to swim or snorkel, then sail back. Free rum punch is served. We went on our own to Pigeon Island. The cab fare was $65/pp each way, then the entrance fee was $15/pp. We did get to spend more time there and walk around the grounds more, but it was much more expensive than the ship tour. Have a marvelous cruise!

I have been two times on st. Lucia but I did not see the pirate ship on my last trip there.
My BEST guess is they cancel it or is not an excursion option anymore,
you should check it before your cruise because that was the plan for my last cruise and it did not was an excursion option don't really know why...
ANOTHER NOTE:
did anyone knows why Carnival have not update their cruises after march 2010?

I am looking to buy one as a christmass present for my wife and I cannot book it online after march 2010 and, as I remember, by that time last year, that was an option online...

Cas, that is pretty typical for them only to post bookings about 15 or so months out.

Do you mean this excursion?

We did that cruise at the end of November and LOVED it. Since there were no at-sea days, you will have a lot to do and see in a week, but it's worth it.

We did excursions on two of the islands (Dominica and St. Lucia) and took taxis around the other islands ourselves or with others from the ship. Dominica was a hike through a rain forest and swim in Emerald Falls, and St. Lucia was a bike and hike. (Hint: Don't believe anyone who says you'll bike on mostly flat surfaces with a few "MINOR" inclines. The only person who might think the inclines were minor would be Lance Armstrong! :-) ).

If you have specific questions, let me know.
