I went through NUMEROUS pages and could not find the answer to this question.....when booking your cruise, if you check "honeymoon" as your special occassion, will this give you any "benefits" such as tables for 2 at dinner, etc? Any info would be greatly appreciated, as we are first time cruisers!
No. It's just for their records. Go to CCL's website and under gifts order your new bride some flowers, strawberries dipped in chocolate, etc. Make the occasion really special. Happy Honeymooning!
Once we boarded the ship, my newly wed husband and I went straight to the Maitre 'd and requested a table for two. Our request was granted. Happy honeymoon.

To follow up on travlngrl1996's excellent advice, the maitre d' is usually at the dining room entrance soon after embarkation for the sole purpose of taking requests for table changes. Make this your first stop after you board.
Happy Honeymoon....what a way to celebrate the next 50 or so anniversaries....Cruising....
Peace and Joy for many more years together and many more cruises...

thanks i did not know that we asked on our fisrt 10th annv cruise they said sorry no tables for just 2.cause we wanted our own table very much so.
Carnival asks the question about celebrations so they can suprise you in the dining room.
On our recent trip on the Elation, during the formal night, the head waitress came to the table and made 2 announcements - Our anniversary (actually 1 week away but this cruise worked out better for us ), and one of our table mates just turned 29.
