Can anyone tell me about the availability of laundry facilities on the Glory? Is there one on every deck? Are they usually crowded? We will be on the panorama deck.

Thanks!
Maureen

The self serve launderettes are located;

Riviera Deck 1 midship - across from 1357 and 1359
Main Deck 2 midship - across from 2365 and 2367
Upper Deck 6 midship - across from 6385 and 6387
Empress Deck 7 midship - across from 7337 and 7339
Verandah Deck 8 midship - across from 8349 and 8351
Lido Deck 9 midship - across from 9268 and 9270

The cost is $2 per washer load and $2 per dryer load. I don't know how crowded they get. The hours should be posted on the door.

Dwayne, thank you for once again answering my question. I don't know if we'll need it or not, but good to know it's there if we do.

My goodness, is there anything you don't know about cruising? http://cruise-chat.com/groupee_commo...icon_smile.gif

You are most welcome! http://cruise-chat.com/groupee_commo...icon_smile.gif

I have to laugh a little at the second comment though as flattering as it was. There is plenty that I don't know about cruising, I just happen to know a little about Carnival cruising, and the Fun Ships. Again, you are most welcome, and thank you for the thank you. http://cruise-chat.com/groupee_commo...on_biggrin.gif

Hope you have a great time on the Glory, I have thoroughly enjoyed my cruises on her.

Well, Dwayne, I don't know about that. You are extremely knowledgeable. I am so glad you could answer Maureen NC's question. I looked on Carnival's website. All I could find was in FAQs where they state there are at least 2 launderette areas on all of their ships located on the passenger decks. I looked through the deck plans and didn't see the launderettes there.

I've done laundry a few times on cruises and I'm sure at least once on the Glory, I never found it crowded. But if it is do your laundry on a port day when others are out spending money on shore.

Or if you have a balcony cabin bring a looooong rope and a mesh bag, if you get my meaning http://cruise-chat.com/groupee_commo...on_biggrin.gif

Or if money is no object you can have valet service do it. About mid cruise an order form will show up in your cabin. A dollar for a pair of socks, $2 for briefs and 2 bits for tighty whities, something like that
