We were suppose to only have an inside room no windows and were upgraded to 5A with 2 portholes. Is this room ok being on Rivera? I have only stayed on the Embassy Deck before so I am a little worried being on the bottom. Any thoughts?

You went from an inside to an outside, its better than what you had...
I agree with Jim C. This is better than inside. The portholes on Rivera will be a nice cabin.
I found the Riveria Deck on the Triumph to somehow be not so nice, we had an inside cabin. And wished we had done better, we stretch now for a balcony. What ship are you sailing on?
We used to always get an outside cabin, but went with a balcony when we went to Alaska. Now we're spoiled, moving up to Junior Suite next week (9 more wake ups and we be wheeling). Balcony or better from now on; an outside cabin would seem like slumming to us now!
Oh oh; just noticed we have a new guru amongst us. But then, we've always known that f-mattox was a cruise guru in an experienced cruiser's suit; right?!
Thank you for the kind sentiment;
and you are right--once you've had a balcony, there's no going back. For years I was content with obstructed ocean view; but now it's mini-suite or bust.
