Have fell from two carnival ships:
• Carnival Liberty
o 28-year-old man who was a passenger was rescued after his 11:35 p.m. leap.
• Carnival Ecstasy18-year-old man
o Brought back onboard, but did not survive.

Please stop drinking!!!!

All this cases the common factor as they believe, is the excess in drinking and alcohol problems…

The young man who jumped from Ecstasy was not an accident or in all probability alcahol related. He has been in the news for about a year. He was the victim of a brutal assault by his teenaged peers at a party. He nearly died from the attack and if you have heard or read accounts of what happened to him they're about a heartbreaking as anything you could ever imagine. I'm betting his leap was suicide. Anyone who went through the things he did and had the details publicized by the media constantly would end up with some serious issues for life. I feel for his family for both tragedies.

Well, give the guy credit on the Carnival Liberty. At least he tried a different approach after drinking, hacking through the ropes on the lifeboat. When that didn't work, then he jumped.

I hadn't read anything about the individual on the Ecstacy. That is a tragedy for sure!

Cassanova, on at least one of the two it involved drinking. I would assume that to be the case on nearly all, so your assumption would be correct.

I just read the artlcle that carlg posted. It said the guy was intoxicated. Pretty crazy incident. That guy must have really wanted off the ship bad to jump in a lifeboat and start axing the cables
