questions regarding passports HELP

The problem is what happens should you need to fly *in* to the the U.S. while on a cruise and some emergency pops up? You need a passport book for that.

The way things are going, I can easily see the closed loop rule going away in a few years. I personally think it was a bad idea which needlessly complicated things.

get a passport. if there is an emergency while on the cruise you may have to leave the ship. you cant fly home without a passport.
