Hi everyone! My husband and I just got home from our 5/19 sailing on the Carnival Miracle from NYC. All I can say is...WOW! What a great ship, and a great time! I plan to post a review on cruisereviews.com tomorrow (we drove 12 hours to get home so I'm completely zonked right now ), but feel free to ask any questions about the Miracle, I'd be happy to answer! I'm going to post pics on my personal website tomorrow, too.
I hate returning to reality after a great cruise!

Hi Cortney. Welcome back. When you're up to it, I can't wait to read your post regarding the Miracle. Especially, leaving the New York harbor. That has got to be, in my opinion, the best sightseeing port to leave out of. I've cruised on The World Yacht to the Brooklyn Bridge, Ellis Island and the Statue for their Sunday Brunch. Big difference on a cruise ship with a sunset, I'll bet.
Glad to hear your cruise was wonderful.

Welcome back Cortney. I'm sure you had a great time. WE've been thinking about Miracle too so I look forward to reading your review.
This question is for you and for anyone who has ever left from Manhatten pier. Don't you think it would be neat for them to play something special like GOD BLESS THE USA or Neil Diamnond's AMERICA while you're cruising past the Statue of Liberty. Maybe shoot off some fireworks. Somehow the moment was lost when we past by lady liberty and the band was playing STIR IT UP!! Anyone have any thoughts?
Steve, I agree that that would have been very cool to have something like that. Unfortunately, it was raining and cold when we left port so it was a bit anti-climactic in general. But still awesome to see the Statue of Liberty!

By the way, I sent in my review...sheesh, I practically wrote a novel. When it gets posted, I'll post the link. I'm hoping to get the photos up on my website sometime this week. We took nearly 1,000!

Cortney-Glad to have you back (though in many ways it must be sad to be back!)-Our last cruise was out of NYC-we enjoyed it so much-we have the next 2 out of NYC also-for us it proved to be very hassle free-and NY harbor is a real treat!
Welcome back, I can't wait to read your review.I can't get over how much Carnival has improved over the last few years. I hear way more positives now than I did. Keep up the good work Carnival! Tom
