If any one is going to be arriving at IAH(Bush Airport) on the 13th and needs to get to Galveston look at this.........My wife and I are trying to split the cost of a LIMO!!!!

Here are the options to get from IAH to Galveston.

Taxi: $250 roundtrip

Shuttle:
thru Carnival $132 ($66 per person roundtrip)
thru galvestonlimousine.com $120
Limo:This assumes 4 people in the limo

Texstarlimousine.com $150 per couple roundtrip
extremeelegance.com $140 per couple roundtrip

So you can pay $20 more and get to travel in style. Ask me if you have any questions. This is the way to go!!!!!!!

No way a LIMO service will charge you $140.00 round trip.

With gasoline cost and Insurance. NO WAY.

Could very well be. I have used Extreme Elegance for myself and a couple clients, both in Houston and New Orleans. Decent company. Granted, their service will cost more if you customize the trip - say, add a few hours at the space center or something.

On the other hand, a quick check of their site indicates their rates are comparable to a cab (and probably a much nicer ride.) So bandaslentz better double check your figures!

Okay I seem to have lost a few of you on this. So let me do it again.

Here are the options to get from IAH to Galveston.

TAXI:
$250 roundtrip ( this is for 2 people. In my case my wife and I. So I would be paying this myself.)

Shuttle:
thru Carnival $132 for 2 people roundtrip. ($66 per person roundtrip)

LIMO
extremeelegance.com $140 for 1-4 people ONE WAY. So let's double this number for roundtrip service. ($140 times 2)$280 plus tip so about $300 roundtrip. Now we take the $300 and divide BY 4 people. SO if my math is right that would be $75 per person roundtrip. That is (75-66) $9 more per person than compared to the shuttle service. SO as I said you can cram into a shuttle or you can ride in style and have a limo waiting on you and another couple.(no one else).

Now we can go CHEAPER..............

A limo that can take 8 passengers costs $160 per roundtrip. So let's double it......($160 x 2) Okay that's $320. WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! $320 divided by 8 people. Let's add $80 in a tip.

$400 dollars NO WAY well let's divide that by 8 people....

...ONLY $50 PER PERSON ROUNDTRIP HOW CAN THAT BE........WELL I KNOW WHAT I WOULD BE DOING I WOULD BE USING THE LIMO. IF YOU DON"T BELIEVE ME CALL EXTREME ELEGANCE AND GET A PRICE CHECK. HERE"S THE SITE AGAIN. (And no, I am not afiliated with them).

So you can pay $10 more per person and get to travel in style. Or if you get 8 people together you can pay $16 LESS THAN THE SHUTTLE.

I know what I would do.......................

That is awesome informatiion! I have never looked at it like that before. I bet that this would also occur in other markets where the port is a good distance from the airport.

Thank you for confirming to me that I am not thinking about this idea incorrectly.

I do not know why anyone would want to take a shuttle and have to cram in it with so many other people and have the possibility of a delay or breakdown. I mean I know a LIMO can also breakdown but I am sure it is in better working condition than most shuttles. But even aside from this it is a LIMO... and for me that seems cool.

So how about it anyone. This is a no brainer if you are going to be at IAH and need to get to Galveston. Heck if you even near IAH on the 13th then this would still work.....

The limo can pick you up at your hotel if you are not at the airport!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
