Do you always get to dock there? I really don't want to take a tender if I don't have to.

Depends on the port. Freeport and Nassau (sp?) have true docking while the cruise line owned ports/islands don't (they tender).

The few times I have tendered it hasn't been that bad. I agree that docking is easier because you can get off and on the ship a little faster.

We were there last year on Carnival Celebration and both ports the ship docked, and especially Nassau seemed to have more space for ships.
