Hi baileychase,

Glory is a fine ship and overall gets very good marks from passengers. There is always going to be a certain percentage of the population that will find something to complain about. Stick 'em in Paradise and they want to be in New Jersey. Stick 'em in New Jersey and they want to be in Miami.

You'll have a great time on a very nice ship. By the way, welcome to Cruise-Chat!

Cheers, Neil

Hi baileychase. Welcome to Cruise-Chat. I've been on Carnival Glory 3 times.
We're very happy with the ship and the crew in Sept. 2007, the previous year we went on Carnival Glory and we weren't happy with our waiter, but it was our fault for not letting it be known that we weren't happy with the service, but we didn't want to get him fired. Our food usually came to us luke warm, one night my significant other's meal came after 3 of us were finished eating. If I remember correctly our original waiter got sick, so they gave us a different waiter, and we were the lucky ones that was his first time being a Head Waiter.
It didn't stop us from going back again this year though.
The shows are really good also.
Have a Wonderful Cruise.
Sandy P

I went on the Glory a couple of years ago. I have went on 10 carnival cruises. This was the nices ship. Little more variety of food. Bigger areas to roam. I appreciated the extra nice things like being able to view your account on the tv in your room, also you could view the menus for the whole day, etc. After several cruises, you notice the little things. Carnival has a lot of lounges with different entertainment, such as, karaoke lounge, lounge with top 40 band, lounge with country western band, the piano bar sing along lounge. The promenade has a one man band outside the casino that is nice. Of course the big piano music in the atriem. The cabins are very spacious. You will enjoy yourselfs. Don't forget free roomservice 24 hours a day. Even if you aren't really hungry, you order anyway. Keep your daily compass handy so you don't miss all the activities going on. Have a great trip

baileychase,
I have been on only two carnival cruises. One of them Glory. I had a similar thing happen to me as Sandy while on the Victory. Service at the Glory was better.
Don't let the small things affect your cruise. Just remember, It's better that being at home working and cooking the meal yourself. There will be plenty of things to do while on board. If you like sushi, you can find it during lunch in a certain area at the lunch buffet and after 5pm on the fifth floor about midship starboard side, I believe. Then you have the shows after dinner, kareoke, some game shows, etc. Have fun and happy sailings

I really liked the Glory. It seemed that the dancers had more shows to do as my daughter did 5 shows a week when on the Glory. If you like big production number shows, the Glory is among the best. Don't miss out on Glory Days in the aft lounge, it will be standing room only so get there with time for a seat. As I recall it was 70s and 80s music and the perfomers leave the stage and dance between the tables. "Nancy Sinatra" brought her "Walking Boots" right up to me. It was fun.

We went on the Glory in March of 2005 and LOVED it! We just decided to go with my inlaws in Jan 2007. I AM SOO Excited! We had kids with us last trip and did not do alot of things after 9:30 or 10pm because they were sleeping. I can't wait to go to do some of those things we did not explore last time. The shows were great on our last cruise and I like RC too but the food on the GLory and the Emerald Room was better (on our trip at least) than the food on The Navigator.
