Question about tendering

I just got back and was on the Miracle but had the chance to talk to people on shore that were from the Valor. They had a hard time getting off for their excursion but once they put up a fuss they got off on time.

We had no problem at all. The first day, we got a number but there was an older couple that didn't know about getting a number and they ended up on the same tender as us. Also don't forget, most of the ports are on Central time (one hour behind "ship time"). The next day we HAD to get on the first tender. We met in the morning with everyone else that had "ship booked excursions". We even told them that we didn't book thru them and they didn't give us one bit of a problem. The Miracle was GREAT!!!

We booked 2 of our excursions thru ShoreTrips.com. They were great also!! Very accomadating. Though we did not get to do the Cave tubing due to flooding.

If you book thru Shoretrips you can do the Zip line thru the Jungle AND the Cave Tubing. Carnival doesn't offer that, it's one or the other. We actually had the option to do part of the tubing but the river was so swift and muddy looking, nobody wanted to do it anyway. Carnival cancelled their tubing completely.

Thanks for the information! That's basically the same thing I'm hearing from a lot of people. I am curious about why the Valor does this. Guess I'll just have to pitch a fit like the people you met.
